Self Compliment

    Probably a couple of folks may misunderstand this topic. You may assume it is directed at you showering compliments on yourself  over how beautiful or how good looking you are as an individual. But, in this context,it simply is directed at something else asides all that.But yet, don't get me wrong, It is a good thing to periodically walk up to the mirror and give yourself a good compliment on how God wonderfully created you. in fact, I recommend that you do that.But I am referring to you as an individual,complementing yourself on how you have been able to discover your potentials and applying the same and also gaining the benefits from your discovered talents or abilities,either natural or acquired over time.This also stretches towards your educational qualifications, experience,skills and your ability to tackle pressing issues of life.

    The fact is, as long as you exist,your potentials would still live and exist with you it never dies until you seize to exist. In the same regard,the decision you make in choosing the talent you possess and developing and nurturing it to attain its maximum efficiency solely depends on you.

    This brings back  memories of my growing up as a child. Whenever am at home and not playing with the other kids. I would get creative. I  would construct cars and foot wears with carton.I often would think of something I could create using carton. On a certain day my dad bought his first Mecedes Benz.I went outside to the garage and thought to myself if I could create my dad new Mededes Benz using carton.After creating my ideas,  I would take my invention to my dad to hear how he felt about my talent.My dad would often look at my invention and smiles and says to me 'well done son'.Now, the exceptionality in this story is,while I was dwelling on a particular talent. I observe that I had yet another talent in writing stories.But, I never took it seriously back then.I just had a dream of becoming an inventor.After a while as I got older,I developed interest in looking out for interesting and motivational books  and reading them to find out what it was talking about.I even went as far as reading the auto biography of great authors  and I decided to start writing with devotion,suddenly.Along the line ,unknowingly and excitedly. I started writing with enthusiasm and the thoughts were just flowing out from brains.Then I had that feeling that I was actually reviving a talent that would showcase me to the world.I discovered the fun in writing motivational stories in any available area of life to motivate people and to keep readers at the edge of the seat waiting to read more. Each day after work, I would write on my experiences waiting for the appropriate time to show it to all in a book as I wrote them. It was quite exciting as I walked along with my newly discovered talent.

    In all of this, I was able to recognize my treasured talent in writing and used it to motivate and touch lives positively.And I am as a matter of fact still touching lives positively through my write up.

  The morals lesson in my story is,you have a talent and you must definitely discover it. It was not given to you to do noting with it.It was given to you for a purpose,discover it, and work towards developing it to reach its maximum potential.Then you would truly compliment yourself on how your discovered talent came as a great help in changing your life for good.
